I was ammazed at how much stuff was in my dryer vent. I have lived in my brand new home for 4 years. The tube length for dryer to outside vent was about 13 feet, and when I ran the cleaner I was covered in lint from head to toe. Absolutely awsome! Fast and Easy! Worked like a champ. My dryer is really old and was in desparate need of having its "arteries" cleaned out. Having a good shop vac is important, as is access to the ends of the vent pipe. The bottom line is that not only did I remove a ton of lint and its fire hazzard, but probably added life to my dryer by making the exhaust vent out more easily. Honestly, I can't add much more than what you've already read, but I will... This tool just plain works as advertised. I had to clean approx 40' of vertical/horizontal dryer duct and it did an excellent job. I bought the extension pack but didn't use it because it was working so well with the included extensions I didn't want to press my luck. I needed to inspect the horizontal run through the attic and I was hoping not to have to climb up there. But to be safe I got in the attic and inspected the ductwork just to be sure. It was as clean as the dryer duct in the included DVD instructional video. This tool costs just $30+ and it had to save me hours and certainly $ on this project. I don't own a cordless drill, so it got a full-powered corded drill instead. No problem...just exercise a little caution when running it the full length.Customer Review: Do this before you install a dryer vent fan!!

I used this system to clean my dryer vent before installing a booster fan. This system worked great! I removed over 5 gallons of lint from about 30' of pipe. Read the instructions or view the DVD before you use the system. I found the instructions helpful, especially the tips for adding and removing rods. My dryer performance improved dramatically with the cleaning. After I cleaned the vent pipe I installed a Tjernlund Dryer Duct Booster, Model #LB-1. The fan improved my drying times a bit more; but, more importantly, it increased the velocity of the air in the pipes so that the lint would not settle out again.

This did an incredible job cleaning out my PVC pipe that runs through the foundation out the back of the house. Only problem was it wasn't long enough, (my run of pipe was about 25ft. I just had to run it from both sides and that fixed it up. I used a leaf blower sealed with duct tape on the inside of the house to blow while I was running it and this was quite effective.
Drier works like new now.
