Easy to follow instructions... Hubby managed to clean out the dryer vent within a few hours. Unfortunately, our vent ends outside on our rooftop so we couldn't do it from the other end... but still felt that it was worth the money to take out all the lint from one end.
I just wished they included more of the rods instead of having to order an extender (that's why I left off 1 star).
I would highly recommend this.

Wasn't sure how well it would perform, but wound up pleasantly surprised. Needed extra length so I took a chance & purchased 2 kits. Turned out to be a great idea. Extra kit was only a few dollars more than additional rods, and now I have some spare brushes just in case. Take the time to read instructions or watch included DVD & you can't go wrong. The actual cleaning process only took about 5 minutes. Durability is an unknown so far as quality of materials is only about average.Customer Review: Excellent Product

This dryer vent cleaning system works great. Our Whirlpool Duet dryer had a sensor that failed during warranty. The repair technician said that the part failed due to overheating and limited air flow in the exhaust. After getting a plastic grocery bag full of lint out of our 8 foot duct the dryer is working better than ever, and dries our clothing much faster. The cost of the kit is roughly half what you would pay to have a duct cleaning company, and the job took less than a half hour.Customer Review: Excellent product

This product was very useful and easy to operate. It's fast and effective in removing all the lint buildup in my 18' dryer run. Took about 3 minutes. My only problem with it is that I needed 1 more length of rod to get completely through to the end of the run. I wish I could order the number of rods I needed instead of the 15' the kit comes with. It's worth the reasonable price versus a fire or ruined dryer.Customer Review: Excellent product

I used this product last weekend. It worked very well and the instructions are not really necessary, except for the obvious caveats, like not reversing the drill, reduce the drill torque to minimum, and if it seems like its getting stuck work from the other direction. I used the dryer to blow the lint out of half, and the shop vac to suck the lint toward the dryer for the second half. I needed the extension kit because my run is over 40 ft.
The only problem I had was with the small lint cleaning brush for the dryer itself was defective because it was un-threaded. I called Gardus and they called me back on Monday, and I explained the defect and they just sent me a new one that arrived two days later, (I did not have to return the defective brush).
Also note that on my unit the rotary brush has a metal threaded insert...so they have recognised that plastic threading was insufficient and improved their design.
It worked very well and did a stunning job of cleaning out the lint, even from the 12 ft of flexible aluminum pipe that joins the dryer to the ridged pipe.
