When a neighbor of mine paid more then 30 for his remote at a local hardware store, i knew amazon would give the better deal. Sure enough i found this one for less the $20. As soon as it came i was baffled on why it wouldn't work so when i opened it i saw that it had a battery. So after many attempts i gave in and went out in town and bought the battery. Unlike the old remote where it took the tiny version of a AA, this one took a 2032 and i had to remove the case to get to it, the whole time i was thinking all this B.S. for a remote. It works now flawlessly but it would of been nice if they but a charged battery.Customer Review: Cheaply made, but it works.

I was looking for a replacement garage door opener and came across this one. Description says it will work on Intellicode openers manufactured after 1995, I checked mine, it was manufactured in 1996. Prime shipping was fast like always. The remote was packaged in a plain white box, programming it was fairly easy and took less than one minute, it worked right away. The only problem is it's made so cheaply with the cheapest kind of plastic, the battery door doesn't even fit nicely. It looks like it will break right away if it happens to get dropped. For $20 I paid, I would expect something with more decent quality, like the one I had before, which was made in Canada, and this one is made in China.Customer Review: Clicker

This remote seemed to work well when we first got it, but the battery went dead after about month. Put a new one in all and was good ... for a month. Then again and again, but each time seemed to be a shorter battery life. The unit lasted around 5 months until it died completely. This unit uses a 3V coin cell, and is somewhat difficult to replace. I had to reprogram the opener almost every battery change. I personally cannot recommend this remote. I was happy with the original Genie remote, but this model seems to be lower quality.Customer Review: Does the job well

I've ordered 2 of these and have had them for a month or so. The range is good enough for me and they work well. They look a little bit outdated in my opinion, but not too bad.
