Customer Review: cheap, sloppy and weak

Overall, I'm disappointed in this tool, especially given the comparable tools from Leatherman.
At first glance, it looks like a clever improvement over other multi-tools I have: the blade and drivers fold out directly without having to open the whole thing up. Holding it in your hand, it feels heavy and from that you'd assume it's solidly built.
However, the tool is a cheaply-made toy. The "fit and finish" is sloppy. The paint that looks sharp in the package chips and scratches very quickly. The pliers have a hard time bending a paper clip. One of the screwdriver blades on mine is so stiff that I can't open it with my bare hands (I have reasonably strong hands). The screws that pin it together are crooked.
Clearly someone was trying to take cost out of the tool, and they removed the quality, too.
I won't have this thing around long enough for it to blow out as it has for other reviewers. It's such a hunk of junk that I'm giving up on it.

it was cool for a while, but eventually the metal that holds the knife just plain cracked off one time when i was trying to cut something and the knife folded open past where it should go. now its useless.Customer Review: not the sharpest tool in the shed

Its a $8 Gerber multitool not a $70+ leatherman so don't expect it to be one. Overall great for the price. Not worth if priced over $15. Tools seem sturdy in store, somewhat weak in person. They will get the job done however don't expect to use it as hard as a leatherman. Looks expensive though. You can show off to your friends.
Biggest complaint is the blade. This tool was made by Gerber Legendary Blades, however the blade is thin and somewhat dull. It reminds me of the blade I got from the dollar store. Maybe I have been spoiled by Victorinox, SOG, Smith and Wesson, and Mtech blades...
Overall above average product for the price.
