Gerber's quality is excellent - the saw in the handle is a great use of space and a handy tool to use on those pesky smaller cutting jobs! The handle is wonderful - some others I tried had very smooth, slippery handles - this one has a sure-grip. The blade is very sharp and true. Good hunting and camp tool.
Good weight.
Good sheath w/ both loop and belt attach.
Good price. Good add for many packs, trucks, deer camp gear, or such.
Good thicknss on blade and could serve as an ok bone blade.
Magnet coupler does hold blade snuggly and even if it comes loose holds onto blade.
Classic, functional Gerber product.

First off I gotta say I'm a gerber fan. Having said that this is another great product. The axe is a bit small more like a long handled hatchet. The camp axe is bigger. But if you really want something light to hike/backpack around with you this is a great tool. The saw is again small about the size of a big dinner knife. It comes sharp and doesn't feel loose in the handle or cheesy in any way. All around good tool.
