This little shovel is the prefect "take anywhere" tool. I do a lot of back country driving and it has bailed me out several times. From digging out snow and mud to spreading gravel for traction, i've even used it to chop through a root that had lodged it's self in the undercarriage of my truck, it does anything it's larger heavier brethren can do, AND it's compact size allows it to be carried on your belt without being cumbersome. I've used it to dig temporary fence post holes, latrines, I've even used it to dig a ditch around my tent when a midnight rain squall threatened to soak all my belongings. It's now a permanent addition to my every day kit, and I have spares in both my cars.
