Tools and Hardware Reviews of Gerber 22-80012 Infinity Ultra Task LED Flashlight, BlackCustomer Review: Great flashlight Summary: 5 Stars
I bought one of these when I was in Iraq, a great flashlight. I bought two more for friends over there right now and they love them. Small size but very bright, and only take a AA battery. The clip makes it very versatile can clip anywhere and works great for MOLLE gear. A must for any outdoors man or woman.
Customer Review: Great flashlight very compact Summary: 4 Stars
This light is one of the best that I have, it is brighter than some of the large flashlights that I have. I keep this in my pocket all the time, it has generated several comments from people that could not believe that all that light was coming from this little thing.
The only drawbacks are that there is no real switch, twist the end to turn it on. and Secondly they should have put a lense in front of the light, with this thing in my pocket it tends to gather quite a bit of dust near the led bulb
Customer Review: Great for it's size and cost Summary: 4 Stars
I believe it's pretty hard to find a small LED flashlight that isn't cheaply made, or just way too dim. This little thing is perfect for small areas and general use. It's VERY bright when it's dark. I've had all sorts of small LED lights, and while some are comparable in brightness (or brighter!) they all fall short on quality at the very least.
This flashlight appears to be built very well and is waterproof. I only give it four stars (I'd say 4.5 if I could) because it has a very basic mechanism to operate it. Basically you twist the cap that covers the battery down until it makes contact (and completes the circuit) to turn it on. I'd prefer a button, but it works just fine in the end. Also, the clip doesn't really work too well, it's a little too stiff, and scratches the crap out of the anodized surface when it moves (which it will). I took it off, which just scratched it even more. Doesn't matter cause it's a flashlight, but still I just owned it for an hour so it was annoying.
Has a place for a lanyard or clip, I put a keyring and carabiner on it and it's perfect. Clips onto a belt loop and is unnoticeable.
Customer Review: Great little flashlight! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used one version or another of these for years, when I travel in the developing world. They last SO much longer on a battery than other small flashlights (e.g., Maglights). Over the years, the beams have gotten stronger, and the battery life has been extended. I keep one at the office (in case of a power failure - we're on the 12th floor) and another in my emergency "Go Bag." I've given them to friends to keep in their cars.
I have larger and more powerful Gerber flashlights for more serious flashlight use but I think these are the best product at this size and weight.
Customer Review: Great little flashlight... Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great little utilitarian flashlight. It gives reasonable illumination on a single AA battery and is long lasting. I loaned it to a home contractor the other day to look into a dark space. He liked it, too. I think I would have liked a push button rather than twist on off. However, twist on-off will undoubtedly last longer. Providing a lanyard in the packaging would have been nice as well.
