This was the perfect answer. I used this to connect both a garden hose and an automatic water bowl for my dogs. I keep one valve open and the other closed. It works great. I BOUGHT THIS SO THAT I COULD USE MY BACK YARD SPRINKLER/HOSE WHILE INSTALLING A "DOG LIXIT" (SELF WATERER ATTACHMENT) TO THE OTHER SIDE SO THAT MY DOG HAS FRESH WATER ON DEMAND. IT ONLY TOOK HIM THREE HOURS TO LEARN TO USE IT. EXCELLENT QUALITY AND WORKS LIKE A DREAM
