Customer Review: Great concept, but...

I got two of these about two years ago and both have had quite a work out. It's an excellent concept and works as described, but the plastic programming disk, flexible when new, broke within a few months after becoming brittle in the sun. I tend not to change the programming on it anymore for fear of it becoming unusable. Nonetheless, this is easily two stars better than any of the other plastic sprinkers of theirs that I've tried.Customer Review: Great concept, watch out for UV damage

Great concept that works as advertised. The range is very dependent on water pressure (you should use 3/4" hose for best results) and not hook it in series with other watering items. The UV rays will damage the red adjustment circle over time (making it thin and crack; Gilmour did replace under warranty) so it's best to cover it with tape or make a "hat" for it. Also if the adjustment levels go immediately from really low to really high it can get caught.Customer Review: Great for odd shaped yards

My first sprinkler like this I bought from Walmart, but haven't been able to find it there since. It is priced very well, and is easy to set. My only complaint would probably be that it is made of plastic, so will break if run over by a bike or a stray basketball bounces on it. But although there are pieces that can break off, it still works through a lot of damage. It would be nice to have more adjustment 'pegs'. I recommend this product, and now that I know where to find it, will only use this sprinkler. It saves me money and time, because for my small yard, instead of placing the sprinkler in 4 different areas, I can get it all at once.Customer Review: Great idea with a serious flaw

I had high hopes for this sprinkler based on the reviews here, and it seemed great at first. The sprinkler is well designed, and the adjustable pattern really works well to fit any shaped yard. Unfortunately, the sprinkler has a serious flaw. Grass that is close to the sprinkler gets a much heavier amount of water than the grass on the perimeter. Using this sprinkler for several weeks in the hot summer left me with a circle of lush green lawn surrounded by brown and burned grass. I wouldn't recommend this sprinkler.Customer Review: Great job for the price
