I have had my Gilmore for about a week now. I tried it out in my weedy back yard. I was shocked at how well it cuts, and how little effort it takes to push. I snapped on the grass catcher and away I went. Other name brand models don't come with the grass catcher, but the Gilmore has it's own fitted catcher. The height adjustment works just like a powered mower. With gasoline becoming very costly, I decided to go green. The only drawback to reel mowers are that they don't like sticks. So pick up the bigs sticks and then push away. I was very leary about getting a reel mower, but I am soooooo glad I got this one. Get it and try it, you won't go back to noisy,smelly,money wasting power mowers again.Customer Review: Gil-less

Returning the mower ASAP. Was optimistic from reading some of the reviews on this mower. Extremely disappointed. It is easy to push, however, was unable to handle even a single dandelion. It did cut a regular patch of grass fine. But even then it left many splotches of uncut grass across the yard. Our yard is a regularly mowed lawn also not anything that would be tuff to handle. Also if you came across a single extremely thin twig it would clog it up and would not push. If you have a picture perfect freshly sodded yard, with not even a slight change in elevation this mower would probably work fine. If not...I do not recommend.Customer Review: Gilmore Reel Mower

I surprised my husband with this purchase and he rolled his eyes when it came but he now enjoys this mower. It is easy setup. Little twigs do get caught up in it. Love this! It's self sharpening but because of this a bit loud. Easier
than hand sharpening so I can take it. The grass catcher is perfect for
composting. It doesn't work 100% so it leaves some grass on your lawn as fertilizer which is perfect! The rest goes in the composter for next year's garden. Biodynamic fun!
