I was given a used, stainless-interior dishwasher for my kitchen last month. It was covered in pretty tough hard water stains and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. After trying a competitive liquid product with little success, I added a box of Glisten to another Amazon order. It SAVED my dishwasher! The interior, which had turned a grimy gray was sparkling and the plastic was a clean beige-- almost like new. This product is definitely worth the price, although I think a double treatment might be indicated on really tough cases. I will definitely buy this again.Customer Review: Glisten works.

Let me tell you what... I live in an area with VERY hard water. We do not have a water softener. My dishes often come out of the dishwasher very chalky and with scale. The directions say to run the DW empty but I go ahead and run a load of the chalky dishes with this treatment. It works. I can't find this stuff in local stores... you should buy several boxes to keep on hand. You only need to use it quarterly even with hard water like mine.Customer Review: Good product - Rediculous price!

I was shocked when this product arrived, for $4.99 you get ONE packet of cleaner for ONE use. Despite that, the product worked really well. It removed mineral deposits and stopped the weird sounds my washer had been making. Also, recently my washer was leaving a film on the dishes and Glisten took care of that issue. But still.... horrible price. I will try to find a cheaper option.Customer Review: Good, but not if it's over $4.

The product works, no doubt about it. You simply pour the contents of the packet in the soap dispenser and start up a washing cycle. It cleaned my dishwasher pretty well although not quite as thoroughly as the competition.
Why does it get only 4 out of 5 stars? Price! At nearly $8 at the time of this review, it's not even CLOSE to being worth it. When/if it returns to $3-$4, it's definitely worth your money. Until then, spend your $3 on some Dishwasher Magic instead (which I found actually works even better than Glisten).

I used this product years ago due to iron stains in my dishwasher. Suddenly, after moving to a new house and different city the same happened again. Glisten left my dishwasher bright white and looking like new.
