The lamp broke in 1.5 days. It was small and efficient for directed lighting when it worked. Unfortunately, it broke very, very quickly. I have extra screw-in bulbs, but this one takes a two-pronged special bulb. Oh, well. Better luck next time.Customer Review: Design Flaw In Switch

It works good for a few months then the tumbler switch that cheap piece of ---t for an on off switch shorts out. They need to put a more basic button or other switch in the base of it, NOT this THING in the power cord. BAD idea!

The lamp works and I haven't found the light to be too dim. The box says the lightbulb included will work for years and the replacement is $6.66 in Amazon, so the unusual ballast of the bulb shouldn't be a problem. My only complaint is its appearance. The color makes the metal look more like cheap plastic, and it isn't appealing. I have a very similar lamp bought at Walmart for the same price, and the finish is brushed chrome... what a difference!
