It is a good product with a reasonable price (I paid $31.28). The actual height when put as the sample picture is around 14 inch, so it is good for a work desk. The cable length is about 6 feet so enough for normal use, while a previous comment complainted it was only 2.5 feet.Customer Review: Pleased

Obviously it is a table lamp, so not expected to give lot of light for the entire room!
Pros: Nice light (don't know if this is really full spectrum or not, but better than most fluorescent lamps; I can't see any flicker at all with this light.

Cons: a little on the cheap side (looks/construction) but Ok for a student table/dorm use.
In all, gives a nice light that you can use for reading for hours witout eye strain.
