I purchased this lamp and was expecting to have superior light for a long period of time.. The light lasted for approximately three months. I got sick was was unable to order a bulb for another two months.

I ordered the bulb because I thought that was the problem. Too my surprise, the lamp is at fault. I attempted to have it fixed but it costs more for repairs than
the lamp originally cost.

There are a lot of wires.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this lamp.

I love this lamp. It has a bright light so that it makes reading very easy on the eyes. I keep mine by my bed and I have a bit of trouble with my vision so it is a welcome addition for me. It is just a bit hesitant when I turn it on, but that is the only reason that this lamp comes up a bit short of perfect. I had a similar model and it just quit so I searched for another one like it. Once you use a lamp like this nothing else measures up. I really like the fact that it is energy efficient and the cost is very economical. I highly recommend it.

This is a very useful, bright-bulbed lamp...27 watts provides good lighting for a fluoro, I believe equivalent to about 75+ watts in incandenscent. HOWEVER, when compared to an ott-lite full spectrum it is not quite the same in "color." So I'm assuming that you get what you pay for, which is not full-spectrum. I would buy this again since it's still very handy and easy to move around, giving superior light which can be focussed, and the price is reasonable for a floor lamp. I've had it about 6 months with no problems.
Note that the company (Grandrich) included a replacement bulb order form. Bulbs there are only $9 each, which pretty much suggests that they are NOT ott-lite quality. I'm going to buy an ott-lite in this floor style through amazon, with free shipping. I have several of the ott-lite table lamps which DO last forever, even when dropped. :) But now that I've had this floor lamp, I want a full-spectrum (ott-lite) in the floor lamp configuration. I use the (original black folding) table ott-lites for "true" color; as a source of "sun-light" in winter (got one right now on some very happy seedlings); and just because they're really handy and tough.

My 93 year old Uncle lives in an assisted living facility. Until I ordered this lamp, he was having a very hard time seeing the print in the books he read. This lamp afforded him plenty of light and took up very little space behind his easy chair in a crowded room. A real boon to his waning years.
