We eventually found these type of adapters in the larger supermarkets / Hardware stores (like a superwalmart)in France but they are not common. The problem most of the people had with the French plugs is the use of 3 prong grounded electrical cords. Most of the adapters found locally only converted 2 prong US to 2 prong French and the french adapters are of a type that you could not put a 3 prong plug into them. These plugs were very helpful and I had to loan them to others that had the same problem.Customer Review: Handy adaptor!

I bought this USA to Europe adapter for a trip to Germany and Austria last year, specifically to charge my Panasonic Lumix camera batteries. I used the adapter with my charger in Austria and it worked perfect. Now I have a reason to go back to Europe!
