I read reviews before making a decision to purchase the Haan steam mop myself to try and make sure I had minimal problems with it. When I finally got it I thought it was great using it the first time, but on it's first use I couldn't get the handle to stay up. It constantly fell. I loved the way it steam cleaned my floor and I decided to overlook the fact that the handle wouldn't stay in place, but before I even had the mop a month it just stopped working altogether. I am now trying to see how to send it back. Needless to say I'm disappointed.Customer Review: Disappointed

This product should get 'zero' stars but the program made me give it at least one. I didn't want to. It performed nothing like the informercial. I was very disappointed with it and it was returned. Bought a Haan SR-20. Cleaned okay, but after minimal use over 18 months, it developed an electrical short. I was told that even though this presented an electrical hazard and may have resulted from an engineering flaw in the design, I would not be able to exchange it or receive any credit toward a new one. They offered to sell me a new one at regular price. Ha! Fool me once...Customer Review: Don't waste your money like I did

Having a new baby in the house,I thought the idea of steaming the laminate floor to disinfect it would be wise.Unfortunately I purchased this piece of crap to do it.My wife picked it up at Macy's,and it worked like a champ the first three times I used it-bravo!!!Then on the fourth time the water sensor failed.Now I do a little searching and find this isn't an isolated issue;it's a very common problem.That my friends is garbage.I paid $100 for this thing,and it works four times?That's $25 dollars a pop to steam my laminate floors.Read the negative reviews then decide,but if you let the amazing commercial sway you into buying one,you have only yourself to blame.
I will never purchase any Haan product again.

I love it. I love it, I love it, I love it. My floors are so crummy that I had to do a "feel" test, and the bad fake-wood linoleum upon which I'd used the Haan felt squeaky-clean, while the section next to it felt like it was covered in candle wax and chewing gum.
The cord is not that short, as a lot of people had complained on other sites; 19 feet is a great distance. It heats up quickly, and it does its job beautifully.
Frankly, I feel like the Swiffer manufacturers should have bought me this, as I'd spent several years religiously using their crappy products trying to get this result (did I get so much as a coupon for my friendly complaint? Nope. No response, for that matter). This is a wonderful machine, and I'd recommend it to anyone. If it helps: 1) I'm a tremendous skeptic, especially when I see something on an infomercial; 2) I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, so my floor is never clean enough; 3) I am using this on both painted and horrendous linoleum floors in the dump I live in and am trying to restore, and it's making both of them very, very nice with little effort.
