This item is great. The steam makes the floors squeaky clean, and you can use it on any hard surface (tile, hardwood, etc.). My only con is that I have not been able to get deep into the crevices where the deep down dirt is; like in cracks between the hardwood or in the tile grout. That being said, I wouldn't trade this for a mop with soapy water. The Haan does not leave streaks, the microfiber pads are completely washable, and the surface feels much cleaner than it ever did with a mop and soapy water. I really like my new Haan fs-20. However, I have a laminate floor that looks like tile and it has crevices. This only takes the top off the dirt, not reaching the crevices. Also, you need to move it more slowly than you would a regular mop, giving the steam a chance to work. I have gone over the floor several times and it is getting better, but not the total perfection that commercials would indicate. Difficult to get corners and under the counters. I also don't like not being able to put the pads in the washing machine. It takes them a long time to dry out unless you can put them in the sun.Customer Review: Good for cleaning but some annoying things....

The Haan Steamer is great for cleaning and disinfecting the floors... buuuut some annoying things happen: The cord is WAY too short... so you can do very small areas at a time and when you leave it standing, it tips over! Overall, I love this mop. It cleans beautifully and has already paid for itself because I do not have to buy chemical cleaner. The only draw back is it does not dry instantly like the commercial shows; however, it is dry within literally 2-3 minutes, which is not bad!
