Tools and Hardware Reviews of Haan FS20 Steam Cleaning Floor MopCustomer Review: Love my Haan! Summary: 4 Stars
I have been very pleased with my steam mop. It is easy to use. My tile floors looked much cleaner. Water and pads needed changing less frequently than I feared.
Customer Review: Love this product! Summary: 5 Stars
This is one product that works as advertised. I love it. I have two kinds of tile floors as well as wooden floors and it moves seemlessly over all of them. It's so easy. No liquid to buy or deal with and no sticky residue like I had with the Swifter liquid. I can see it paying for itself in no time. If you have really large areas to mop, you may have to fill it up a couple of times but it is really easy to use.
Customer Review: Love this steam cleaner Summary: 5 Stars
After trying and immediately returning another, less expensive floor steamer, I ordered the Haan. Finally opened it and used it for the first time yesterday. VERY easy to put together. The handle adjusts for height. The unit did a great job on my bathroom and kitchen tile floors. I only had to refill it once. The floors were nearly dry by the time I finished each area...I did not have to go back and dry them. Tossed the microfiber pad (there were four (4) in the packaging) in the washer and it is air drying per instructions. I am delighted with this product. No residue, just clean, shiny tile!
Customer Review: Major Design Flaws Summary: 3 Stars
The steam mechanism and the pads are top notch, and do a great job of cleaning a floor. The problem is that the cord is way too short and drags on the floor. I have a small 1 bedroom apartment, but had to switch outlets 4 times in order to clean the whole apartment. The time it takes to unplug and replug wastes steam, which keeps evaporating even when the machine is unplugged, and goes very quickly in the small tank. Also, the cord attaches on the bottom and drags all over the damp floor. Not safe. There is a plastic hook to lay it on on the top of the handle, but it is lose and drapey and easily falls off. To be honest, mopping the floor with a wet jet is easier (although not nearly as tidy). Had the mop been better designed I might have used it once or twice a week, for my regular mop, but as it, it is cumbersome and too much of a pain to use more than once a month.
I'm going to check other brands to see if there is something better out there. Maybe the higher end HAAN models.
Customer Review: NOT AMAZING! Summary: 2 Stars
I am very disappointed with the haan floor steam cleaner. Mine arrived today and I was very excited to try it right away. The steam does not reach all areas of the cleaning pad and was not impressively hot like the warnings describe. The "gripping, scrubbing, picking-up microfiber pad" is very thick and DOES NOT PICK-UP ANYTHING! If your floors are already spotless and you want to steam clean for sanitary reasons(like killing microscopic germs we normally live with) then the haan is for you. Registered Nurse review: two thumbs down!
