Tools and Hardware Reviews of Hercules Hook 0772009 Revolutionary Wall Hangers w/Laser Marker, 20-countCustomer Review: Did not work on my walls Summary: 2 Stars
The drywalls in my house apparently have some insulation blown into them, and I could not get the hooks to work. I finally did get one in place and hung a medium large picture on it, and it failed. Far short of the maximum weight on the package. In all fariness the walls were not the right kind of walls and I think whey would work fine for small and medium pics. The laser tool that was included is neat and I used it for all of my pictures, which I had to hang with other hardware.
Customer Review: Disappointed Summary: 1 Stars
I was a little disappointed when I purchased this product. I mainly bought them when I had to hang my very heavy mirror. I got the hook in the wall, but then could not turn it where I could anchor it to hang the mirror on it. They give you a lot of these hooks in the pack, but now these hooks just sit in my drawer since I cannot use them. I loved the idea of having a laser marker to hang my pictures straight!
Customer Review: Does the job Summary: 3 Stars
The hooks do hold the heavier items as advertised. A bit cumbersome to put into the walls. The holes in the wall that are left behind are a bit larger that promised. Overall a decent product.
Customer Review: Don't Bother Summary: 1 Stars
What a gimmick. I was extremely disappointed. I tried to use them through sheetrock and had such a difficult time getting them to insert all the way. I was only able to get one hook in all the way through, however it was in an interior closet. It looks so easy on T.V. -- probably because there is no insulation or exterior wall during the demonstration. Good concept, lousy product. And guess what - it still puts a hole through the wall just as a picture hanger. A hammer and nail does the job much better!
Customer Review: Easy to use Summary: 4 Stars
The Hercules Hook Wall Hooks were very easy to use and a lot less trouble than conventional picture hooks with nails. We have used them for everything - mirrors, clocks and pictures. The only drawback would be if you want something to be flush against the wall, I can't see how you could do that with these hooks since the top portion does protrude out a little far.
