Tools and Hardware Reviews of Hobart 770096 Welding Oxy-Acetylene Goggle - 50mm Eye CupCustomer Review: Good for burning man.... other than that... Summary: 3 Stars
I wouldn't weld in these, but they were a fun accessory at burning man! The strap kind sucks, just sayin.
Customer Review: Good for what its worth Summary: 3 Stars
Bought these as an early attempt at motorcycle/steampunk goggles. Look very cool and very high qual, but be warned, but they are incredibly uncomfotable. i cannot stress that enough. the hard plastic has absolutely no padding whatsoever and i cant see being comfortable in them for longer then 5 minutes if even that.
Customer Review: Good quality goggles Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these from Amazon to use a part of a costume and was very pleased with them. Both the clear and dark green lenses can be easily swapped out. The dark lenses have writing on them but if turned inwards it is not visible. They are easily adjustable and fit my face well, but being hard plastic can get a little uncomfortable after wearing for a while.
I painted them, replaced the nose piece with a spring, replaced the strap with a leather one, and bolted some metal bits on the vents to give them a steampunk look.
Customer Review: Great for a pair Steampunk goggles. Summary: 4 Stars
These goggles work great for a pair of steampunk goggles. Now granted I spray painted them and glued some additional parts on it but the shape still lends itself very nicely to being modded for steampunk.
Here are two pics of the goggles after I got done with them :)

Customer Review: Great goggles at a low price Summary: 5 Stars
These are great goggles, the only two things I had problems with were fogging up (which happens with all goggles) and the center plastic tube connecting the two eye peices; the plastic sleeve over the metal bead string is somewhat thick. I removed it and put a piece of heat shrink tubing over it instead. If you don't have any defogging spray, you can put some toothpaste on the glass on the inside and buff it off to reduce fogging. Strange, but it works.
All in all great goggles, not extremely dark but definitely cuts down on the light significantly; I was using them for a costume.
