Our second Honeywell air purifier in three years.....so far so good. No matter the sound level, even at the lowers setting, your brain accomodates and it's not a bother anymore. The reviews I read and having previous knowledge of Honeywell air purifiers just re-enforced my decision to buy another Honeywell . We use it in both of the grandchildrens rooms and their breathing and stiffiness has improved to a large degree . One of the complaints in some of the reviews was the noise of the unit . It doesn't keep the children from sleeping or snoozing so its a non issue . The unit arrived promptly and earlier than I expected . This purifier is quite during the low setting. The high setting cranks out the power. My only gripe is that you can't put this on an automatic timer. If you do, one the timer shuts off the unit, the unit will not turn back on once the timer comes back on...you have to manuualy turn on the unit. It was delivered within 5 days. It's also lightweight and can be moved from room to room easiely.Customer Review: SCRUBS THE AIR!

Our granddaughter has severe allergies and this has saved the day! We purchased 2 Honeywell units, one for the living area and one for her bedroom. NO allergy attacks since they have been in place! We ordered this in an "emergency," during a pretty bad allergy event. So we were VERY disappointed when it arrived overnight --- and refused to even turn on.
Amazon, in its accustomed efficient fashion, got a new one to us the next day.
It's difficult to be completely objective about a product when the first example never functioned. This second unit, however, works beautifully! During the day it sits on the center of the bed, with the door closed. If there's any dust left in the room, it's pretty elusive. The reason is pretty clear --- the dust is very visibly trapped in the pre-filter, and, presumably, the smaller stuff is trapped in the HEPA section.
The unit is quite light and easy to handle, and the filters are easy to clean. The HEPA "doughnut" filter is very large. As far as sound goes, I wouldn't want to watch TV with it on "high" setting, but "low" would be manageable at night, if absolutely necessary.
This seems --- so far! --- to be a very good unit. It does what's required of it.
