Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell 24000 Replacement HEPA Filter

Customer Review: I can't find these in stores any more.
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the filter which came with my Honeywell HEPA filter. I was only once able to find the right size when it needed replacement. Since that time, the local stores only have had the smaller Universal filters, so I had to stack 3, which did not really fit right, despite the foam that is supposed to make them fit. I was really happy to find the original correct filter and it cost less than buying 3 of the Universal filters.

Customer Review: I didn't receive a honeywell
Summary: 1 Stars

From the product description: "Honeywell 24000 Replacement HEPA Filter", "Genuine HoneywellTrue HEPA filter" I did not receive a Honeywell, I received a "RPS BestAir" filter clone. Outright misleading listing.

Seller: Allergy Be Gone

Customer Review: It is not Honeywell.
Summary: 2 Stars

It is not an official Honeywell filter as another reviewer said
although it sounds it is. For this kind of compatible filter,
you can find cheaper price in other places. It is misleading.
The quality of the filter is ok.

Customer Review: Use for discontinued hw model 63500
Summary: 5 Stars

This filter fits the discontinued Honeywell Air Cleaner (Enviracare) model 63500.

Customer Review: Works as expected
Summary: 4 Stars

I agree with other reviewers that the Honeywell is relatively noisy (white noise -- like a window air conditioner) but it does the job. My main complaint about the entire system (not the filters per se) is that there is no alert to tell you that you ought to replace the filter. I tend to be fairly busy, and the first I noticed that the filter was no longer working properly was when the area near it started accumulating a very fine dust. The Honeywell was still filtering larger particles, but it was actually polluting my living room with the very fine stuff. So of course I replaced the filter. I probably should pay closer attention, but some sort of sensor would be very useful to prevent what I experienced... which was actually the opposite of what a HEPA filter does. In the absence of a sensor, just be alert to the fact that a "lifetime" filter is actually good for about a year. Put it on your calendar and don't take it as much for granted as I did. BTW, this filter DOES fit the 52500 model, even though the specs on line don't say so.
