I didn't realize that I needed to look online for these filters since I bought my humidifier at a store. After months of going to the store and then forgetting about needing new filters I finally looked up the information online. I was glad to find out that not only was amazon one of the cheapest retailers to get these but I also qualified for free shipping since I just went ahead and ordered 3 at once! Honeywell HAC-504-AW Replacement Filter for Honeywell Humidifiers
Good filter. i think the blue outer feature keeps the filter fresher than the plain ones I have used in the past. The key to keeping these filters in good shape is to not let your humidifier run out of water. If you do the filter will harden with the trapped minnerals and your humidifier may continue to run making a bit of a smell.
Change the filter every couple of months, depending on how much you use it. I live in Denver so ours runs constantly in the winter. Be sure to clean your humidifier regularly with vinegar and water to keep it fresh and free of mildew, residue build up, etc.

I have used Honeywell humidifier with this filter for three and half years. The duration of this filter really depends on your water quality. I used to replace the filter every 1.5 or 2 months before moving. Now I have to replace every 20 days since ordor is getting severe after 15 days.
