My Humidifier is probably about 5 years old so I was glad to find the filters here at Amazon. The filter is great..it certainly gets the job done. Be sure to change it at least once a month...otherwise it collects mildew and fungus....Customer Review: Misrepresentation of Product

This seller advertises that they sell replacement filters "BY HONEYWELL" for Honeywell humidifiers. BEWARE! They ship you an inferior product from another manufacturer.
Do not buy this item from this seller. You are not getting what you pay for.

Why is this item so hard to find? Its the only one that our unit uses and I have so much trouble finding replacements. Its annoying!!!

The filters I received were BestAir HW500 (1 of 4 was in the original box). They have a metal shell versus plastic on the original Honeywell HAC504. I returned them and received another set of filters which were again the same filters(HW500) I believe. They had no original box and the shell was metal, which can easily scratch its housing and stimulate mold growth in humidifier.
It is also sad that I saw another review sent on October 2007 about similar problem(purchased as HAC504, received different) for the same item purchased from Allergy Be Gone.

I ordered these filters for my humidifier. They fit & worked just as the filters did that came with my humidifier. Nothing special to report on these filtes.
