If you have FHA heat this is an excellent choice. You should buy yourself something that will tell you the actual humidity in the room (most gages are pretty inaccurate but at least you can tell whether the humidity is increasing, decreasing or holding steady). The max level of humidity you can obtain depends on many factors and it is rare that you can attain over 50%. Use the humidifier at its highest settings to reach the max (or what you want) then turn it down to it's lowest speed and to the middle humidity setting to maintain that level - this way you don't have to refill it every day.Customer Review: Honeywell 9 gallon humidifier

This is a wonderful humidifier, it doesn't run out of water in a few hours and need to be refilled. It is very effective and does a great job. Quiet and easy to roll to wherever you want it to be.
