It worked beautifully......until it didn't. I would think that it was just a fluke but other people who have bought this product have had the similar experience. "When you buy cheap, you buy twice." If you're accustomed to the heating/steaming variety, you'll find this to be incredibly loud. I don't have a decibel meter but even on the lowest "quietest" setting the fan is extremely loud. This model has what is essentially a big sponge that soaks up the water, and the fan blows over it. The fan is really loud. Did I mention how loud it is?Customer Review: It's ok

We bought it few weeks back as we have a 6 month old baby and our pediatrician recommended to put on humidifier through out the night for him as he was getting cold frequently. This is worth its price and quiet enough and solved our purpose. The only problem we had with it till now is while moving it.Even if I take off the water container from its top, there is still some more water inside it and everytime it splis out on my carpet when I try to lift it to move it to other room.Customer Review: Leaking Tank

When I received this humidifier the tank was leaking so I sent it back and ordered a Vornado. I was already on the fence about which unit to order. The Vornado has worked great!
