Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, BlackCustomer Review: A Great Little Fan Summary: 5 Stars
The Honeywell HT-900C is compact, light, portable, affordable and effective. With blades that are about 9 inches in size (which I guess is what the HT-900C designation means), this fan is easy to move around and projects a breeze that can be felt across a good-sized room, even at the lowest of its three speeds. It's advertised as being "25% quieter" and I believe that it is quieter than a similar fan that I had several years ago. I have mine sitting on the floor in the doorway about 10 feet away from me. If I had it on my desk then I would have papers flying everywhere and the draft would most likely be uncomfortable. As I rotate the fan through different angles I can hear and feel clicks as it goes through different locking positions, so having the fan slip out of a position that I have set is not a problem. I live in an older building that does not have air conditioning, so the fan is a life-saver. It is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: A good air mover. Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased the fan to move very warm air from under my built in corner desk where my computer and all of the computer gear is installed. I have an APC, router, external disk drives, etc. The fan does a great job. The adjustable speed is nice and there is a real difference in the speed when you change the control. This fan operates as quite as a fan can get when it moves this much air. My only negative observation is the fan has trouble staying in the angle position where you want it. It wants to drop to the level position. This could be a problem with this individual fan. Over all I like it and feel that it was a good solution for my problem. Oh yes, I am also going to try the fan to blow welding fumes away from my welding helmet.
Customer Review: Amazing fan for an amazing price! Summary: 5 Stars
Amazing fan for an amazing price. This thing is definitely worth more than what it costs. Nice that it can be oriented in many directions.
You can get the oscillating version if you need it as well; this version does not oscillate.
Customer Review: BIGGER THAN I WANTED Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted to replace an old table fan that gave out little breeze. This one is bigger in size and the breeze is stronger than I wanted because of space I have to place it within 2 feet of my face at the computer. Even on low I have to turn it away from me and let the fringes of breeze come on my face. I have to turn the whole fan, there is no turn base. It can be angled up, but it needs a way to lock it in place. At high speed it can change angle.
Also the controls are on the back. It would be much more convenient were they on the front.
I will keep it. It is fairly quiet and Honeywell seems to have a good reputation.
Customer Review: Bad motor, good while it lasts Summary: 2 Stars
I got two of these from Target. The first one is still running, sort of. It cools well and went about a year until it broke. As I said it still spins, but only after my fiance took it apart and put it back together. If we turn it off or move it we have to get a pencil and push the fan blade until it starts to spin up. The second Honeywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator I got broke entirely after three months. It was unrepairable. I do NOT recommend these fans at all.
