Initially it did put out some steam, and after having to clean it so frequently, even though I have a concentrated water softener+filtration system permanently installed in the house, this apparatus continued to disappoint me the more I used it.

1. The exterior design is completely uselessly stupid. It would seem the 'Designer' must also own one of those mega-ugly nissan MOrono's, and admires it's ugliness so much that he/she couldn't resist incorporating that same 'look' into this 'thing'. Example: The 'curved/rounded' Tank Handle, when upside down in the sink (to fill the tank), leave NO possible way to steady the tank during filling. The rounded-handle does n-o-t-h-i-n-g for the hand either; all it does is screw-up the usability of the tank during filling. (DUMB)

2. The unit is now what, about 3-weeks old, and it's already DEAD, KAPUT!! And no, I don't even wish to waste my valuable time playing around for months and months with their silly Warranty Games. As an Industrial Electronics Engineer, I Personally/Professionally think this is a Piece Of Junk,,,, no matter what it cost.

I've had set This New One aside (destined for the Garbage), and repair my 15-year old Steam-Vaporizer.

Maybe You'll have Better Luck.... (Maybe)

To The Design Team: Get a LIFE. Go Back To The Basics, Go Back To The Drawing Board (fire One Designer in particular)
To The Mfg Home Office: Hire a New Design Team.

This humidifier was a total disappointment. It was estremely noisy (much more than others from different brands..) and the hygrometer did not work at all. Plus, it broke after not even 2 weeks that he had received it.
I don't recommend it.

A month of struggling with this machine has convinced me that Honeywell put out a dud. Two nights it worked so well I was encouraged. Since then I've had to chip away mineral deposits DAILY, purchase distilled water to slow down mineral deposits, fill my bedroom with the sweet aroma of vinegar (to try to slow mineral deposition) and clean up literally gallons of water spilled onto the bureau and saturating the rug. This thing is a lemon of the first degree. Then when I called technical support (less than one month after purchase) the folks at the number in the manual told me to call Honeywell. The Honeywell people told me to call the other folks. Neither group wants to claim responsibility for functionality of the unit, but both want to sell it. Save yourself money and frustration and RUN away from this product.
