Living in a room with poor circulation and allergens occasionally seeping through the air conditioner, I bought one of these based on the overall good reviews. However, for my first one after 2 weeks of leaving it on at medium setting, it just died suddenly. I had no idea how to return it without the original packaging, and I thought it was a fluke so I bought another one. When this one arrived, the motor was extremely loud. i had known what the first one was like, so this one was a defect. I immediately sent it back, not wanting to deal with the hassle anymore.
While it was working (the first one), it didn't function too well. It advertises that it circulates the room's air 5x per hour. I left it on at the medium setting for 2 weeks and there were still areas of my room that had stagnant air, especially my desk/work area. I would often find myself having to aim the fan directly at my desk from the ground in order to get air flow through.
You might ask why I bought it again, well.. it worked decent enough and for this price, it seemed the most solid. Amazon really needs more selection of air filters.

My rec room is a magnet for dust and pollen. I noticed a big difference once I started using this air purifier. Sneezing is now an occasional event, rather than a non-stop marathon.
The three settings (high, med, low) are a convenient feature. The low and medium settings are quiet enough not to overwhelm the TV and stereo. I use the high setting overnight or when no one is home. This product has made a big difference--highly recommended.

Bought this unit and didn't even run it 24/7. Came home one day and the purifiers motor had burned out. Only had it for a couple of months. Very poorly made, save you money and look elsewhere.
