These units look and feel like they are well designed and made. I went ahead and installed two push buttons in the parking garage exterior entrance to the building, being wireless is a little early to tell if the electronics are going to hold up here in Miami with all the humidity. So far so good, the housing as well as the push button housing appeares to be solid much better than the Ace Hardware units I had installed before which both failed. This item was very easy to set up out of the box. It took 20 minutes to install the chime and the doorbells. I set it up to cover two doors. It works like a charm. It is loud enough to hear upstairs and down. The ability to program different chimes for different doors is great. I am adding another bell to it. I fully reccomend this chime!Customer Review: Chime

I recieved my new door chime today it seems to work according to details given on Amazon's web site. Although I don't plan to carry it around the yard with me, it does seem activate door chime from all 4 locations of my home. I liked the wall hanger that came with unit making it easy to grab and take outside with you(although I can't see for the life of me why this would be useful. I mean if there's a party going on and no-one answers the door bell, common sense would tell me to look around, including behind the house.) but it definitly does the job for inside the house. I also read that connecting the push button to a metalic could weaken its signal and of course I had too see for myself, sure enough it does but my cure for this was adding a piece of wood between the two surfaces. I also see that the base unit has a jack for a 6v adapter to plug in which in my opinion can do nothing less than strenghten the units signal. In any event I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I'll keep everyone posted on its operation as the unit ages. Good Luck on future purchases everyone, I wish nothing short of success!! I initially purchased a doorbell based on price (cheap) and it worked well for a few months and broke. I decided to spend a little more money and thus far, the doorbell is working great. I like the different chimes and it is attractive as well as functional. I have had this Honeywell for two months now and it works like a charm.
