I tried at least three other brands/models before this. What wastes of money. Too quiet, too much interference, so many problems. On the other hand, this Honeywell model is loud, works all over my house across multiple floors and looks nicer than my old ones as well. I have a cape cod style house (not huge) with aluminum siding, and I have tried 6, yes 6 different brands and prices of wireless doorbells and none worked properly once mounted on the metal covered door frame. Until this one, that is! Finally, someone got it right-and in a lot of ways. The entire unit seems very well made and is not bad looking, and a bit smaller and slimmer than others I purchased. It has the bright blue strobe light warning option if you have hard-of-hearing residents or just want some quiet time. Great product-if you've tried other brands and found that they just didn't work, try this one-well worth it! Batteries are easy to replace, and common 1-lithium coin and 4-C alkaline. I'm not a "do it yourself" kind of guy and I rarely hammer a nail straight but after being without a doorbell for some time I figured I needed to do something. This item was great as it was easy to get working and install. Even for me! Its versatile and I especially like the flashing light option that goes off when the bell is activated. I'm not hard of hearing but if I'm outside on the patio and see it through the glass door, I know someone is there. Lots of options, you can calibrate it for use with your car key opener (if you like the idea) and have multiple buttons to work at different entrance points if you like. Good price and..again, versatile. Good purchase.
