This is the 2nd wireless door chime I bought. The first one was NOT a Honeywell and it never worked right. Needless to say, I returned it.
So, I did extensive research before purchasing this one. And I am SO impressed - it is great! The choice of 6 chimes is nice. And I love the ability to set different sounds for different doors. The volume is pretty loud (I am slightly hearing impaired so I have it turned up all the way. It could be a bit louder for me...but I think it's fine for most people).
As mentioned by other reviewers, it would be nice if it came with 2 doorbells (instead of 1) but I didn't mind spending the extra $9.99 for another doorbell since this chime/1 doorbell set was only $38. Great price! We use it for the front and side doors.
Just to increase the volume a bit more, it might help if the speaker was on the front, instead of in the back (and slightly muted when you mount the chimes on the wall). But it's still pretty loud compared to most. And the flashing light is really a plus!! It's SO bright, it reflects off the walls & ceiling.
The only negative is, although it allows you to connect other "systems" to it, the instructions do not explain how to do that at all or what type of systems and where to get them. I also tried the Honeywell website and still could not figure out how they work (like the "phone" system). But that's not really what I bought this for...I just needed a good, loud wireless doorbell system that works. And it does! So, it's not really a negative since it does exactly what I purchased it for.
Anyway, this doorbell works so well, I have already recommended it to a friend.

I purchased this doorbell to replace the non-working, built-in one in our older home. After installing the batteries (four C cells if I remember correctly) it worked right away with the included remote button. I purchased a button for another door, and it was fairly simple to pair it to a location light and assign it a different chime by following the directions. There are several nice-sounding chimes from which to choose, and the volume range is more than adequate to hear through the whole house. A nice surprise was finding out that it can also be mounted to a wall using the included bracket and screws. Even after mounting it, you can easily lift it off the bracket and take it with you so that you don't lose the portability aspect of it.Customer Review: Great product

I'm doing a remodel and had all the existing wires exposed from the old system. I didn't 'NEED' this but am elated over the purchase. The old system's AC wiring, bulky voltage reducer, and hundreds of feet of wires are GONE.
Range is a complete NON-issue as the system has been working 100% without problems.
I'm purchasing two more of these, one for the garage and one for the backyard. Volume has been turned down compared to the old system and wont wake the baby. Ring chime has been changed so the dog does not bark when someone rings the bell (Povlav defense).
The old doorbell system was an irritation. This is pleasant.
I have no idea why this is currently priced cheaper than the Honeywell RCWL300A1006 Premium Portable Wireless Door Chime and Push Button as this model is obviously a higher end/more option/longer range item.

My wired doorbell died a year ago. I was going to try to fix it, but loathed the notion of crawling around in the attic, fishing wires out of the wall, just for a stupid doorbell....
Enter the Honeywell and now all is happiness and bliss. It took me about 5 minutes to install the device and choose the chime that I wanted. Works great for the distances that I need. What else could one ask for?
