Customer Review: COMPLETELY adequate for the price.

I have only had this weather station for a few days and have not recieved any rain in that period, so I have not seen the rain gauge in action. However, I have pole-mounted the anemometer and set the thermometer/hygrometer outside and everything seems to be working fine! MANY people have said that the wind speed is not working. However, keep in mind that the speed shown is the AVERAGE for the last 10 minutes. This is the one thing that I do not like about this weather station. I have not yet found a way to change it to the current wind speed instead of the average, so if anyone knows how, let me know! I love how everything is laid out on the screen. At first, it may seem a little confusing with the copious amount of controls and readings, but after a couple days you really get used ot it and start to enjoy all the information in one place. Even though I have not tested them, all of the alram setting, such as for wind, temperature, etc., seem like they would be very useful. All in all, this station is all that anyone would expect for its cost, and its quality is great!
UPDATE: We did recently recieve a LOT of rain and the rain gauge seems to be working perfctly. I love the fact that is empties by itself as it records the rain amount. The anemometer, however, is just not high quality, and by looking at reviews for other weather stations, the anemometer seems to ALWAYS be the trouble spot. To see what the anemometer is RECORDING to be the current windspeed, instead of the average over the last 10-minutes, your can press "set" in the wind window until it says "gust". That will be the speed currently being RECORDED which is updated every few seconds. However, the speeds I get are abnormally slow compared to what I see out the window. It's kind of annoying. It gives your sort of and idea of what the wind speed it, but it's inaccurate.
