Customer Review: So long dryer...
Summary: 4 Stars

If you are 5'2" tall like I am forget using your patio umbrella stand! I couldn't reach most of the lines! Ended up putting the stand on the ground and standing on the last step of my deck in order to reach. First thing that happened was the clothes line blew over while I was hanging clothes. A few cinder blocks to hold the stand worked. If you are short like I am and want to use an umbrella stand you could always use a hack saw and cut the pole a little shorter. We decided to make the clothes line more permanent and since we live in upstate NY we were a little concerned about using the "plastic sleeve" in the ground fearing it might not hold up so followed the manufacturers instructions reference the hole and cement but used a piece of old fence pipe slightly longer than the "sleeve" that came with the clothes line and just slightly larger in diameter than the actual clothes line pole. We also dug the hole a little deeper than suggested. It took one bag of rocks and one bag of quick setting cement. We kept the pipe right at ground level. A fence post cap works great to keep grass and other stuff out of the inground pole and still allows for mowing. After a couple of days of letting the cement dry we are in business! I find that when raising the clothes line I have to be careful since there is not much space at the bottom of the actual clothes line pole to hold onto when raising it. I will have to tighten the lines soon as mentioned in the instructions. Looking back I wish I had gotten a larger clothes line since there is just barely enough space to hang a set of double and queen size sheets but it will easily hold 2-3 loads of regular wash. Over all a good product at a good price and I do recommend this to others.

Product was easy enough to set up considering its size, the swivel feature is great. Not easy enough to take down to make this a daily process but will come in handy in case of extreme weather.

Customer Review: Umbrella Dryer is Great
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this dryer a few months ago and am very pleased with it. It is good quality and larger than I thought it would be. It will hold 2 regular size loads of laundry. It is also handy in that my husband put it on my deck, that way it doesn't take up room in my yard and I can take it down whenever I need too. For the price and quality it just can't be beat. Besides your clothes smelling great from hanging in the sunshine, you are saving energy and not heating up your house. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a convenient way to have an outdoor dryer in a small space.Whitney Design 1600 12-Line Outdoor Umbrella-Style Clothes Dryer with Aluminum Arms

Customer Review: Umbrella style clothes line
Summary: 5 Stars

This is truely a "blast from the past". My mother had one of these clotheslines when I was a little girl.
I liked an online review suggesting using your patio table to hold this clothesline. If your table is sturdy (heavy) enough and there is not a strong wind-this works great. I only have laundry for myself, but was able to hang three small loads on this clotesline all at the same time, with room to spare. Worked great for me-very happy with it. Of course, it can be sunk into the ground but I have not tried this-the in ground holder would be flush with the ground for mowing and you could store the clothesline in the house or garage to keep it clean. In addition, it's a green alternative!
