Tools and Hardware Reviews of Household Essentials 1600 12-Line Outdoor Umbrella-Style Clothes Dryer with Aluminum ArmsCustomer Review: Fits The Bill! Summary: 4 Stars
Just what I was looking for to replace my umbrella line that had been damaged in a windstorm. Easy to install, and easy to take down at the end of the season.
Customer Review: Fits my needs exactly Summary: 5 Stars
I took a extra small circular glass patio table and put the clothesline dryer in the umbrella hold. It is perfect for drying my laundry, and then folding them right on the table. And when I am finished? I can fold up the line dryer and tuck the table in the corner on the deck.
Customer Review: Flimsy Components But works OK Summary: 3 Stars
I am somewhat dismayed at the flimsy components used on this product and doubt if it will last that long exposed to the elements. It would seem they have used cheap components to keep the costs down!
Having said that, I set it up, cemented in the post per instructions and have used it several times. I can dry a lot of clothes in a small space.
I will have to store it when not in use due to the poor quality components but I guess for the price it will suffice!
If you can afford a little more, buy something better, if you are on a tight budget like me, go ahead and buy it.
Customer Review: Gets the job done, for less! Summary: 5 Stars
We are very happy with this product. It was a great value compared to some pretty expensive umbrella clothes dryers we saw!
It spins very easily, my only complaint would be in opening/closing it. The pipe pieces tend to stick and I yank the whole unit out. So, I wish it opened a little smoother. But, for the price, it's worth the small hassle!
Very pleased with this purchase!
Customer Review: Good basic clothes line Summary: 4 Stars
I had an existing concrete pad/hole for a clothes line in the back of my 1940's house and always wanted a portable clothes line to use there. After looking at various sites and seeing the really expensive ones to cheaper "but are they any good ones", I finally decided to gamble on this product. I am really pleased with it. It is a portable umbrella style clothes tree, with a separate pole that goes into the concrete hole in my yard and on which you insert the clothes tree, which opens like an umbrella. Both can be removed into the house, leaving nothing to bother neighbors. The construction is what you get for $40, but if I baby it, I expect it to last. I wouldn't leave it outside in the elements or treat it roughly, as that will definitely shorten its life, but all in all I am satisfied. It holds three large or four small loads of laundry and spins slowly in the wind. Clothes pins and a clothes pin bag are easily available at Walmart for about $4. Shipping was about 5-7 days. Save the small cord that holds the clothes tree closed to use when you bring it back into the house. Hope this helps.
