It's a silly complaint, but this hamper is just a little bit too large. I don't have my own washer and dryer, so the extra size means that I can't fit all my laundry in one load, and I have to pay the ten quarters to do the half of a load that's left over.
Otherwise it's sturdy and packing it up is a breeze. I'm actually using it as a paper waste basket.

We tried to use it for towels. The opening is to small to make it useful and once more than four towels are in thier it collapses. So we switched it to regular clothes which worked fine until my wife picked up after a week of owning it and it was growing mold all over the bottom of it and our laundry room is up stairs and dry and the three old cloth hamper next to it doesn't have a trace of mold anywhere on it. My wife had to throw it out and the money this thing cost me. OH WELLL.......Customer Review: great cheap item

My daughter hauls her laundry home from college each weekend for me to wash. Why am I still doing her laundry? That is a whole 'nother issue we won't go into here... This basket is great. Sturdy, good capacity, easily folds flat for storage, zip cover to keep out the rain going to and from the car. Could only love it more if it came with a maid...Customer Review: great!

these are great! they hold a lot more than my old hampers, and seem very sturdy. the do collapse with weight (ie a mis-aimed shirt or a cat attempting to walk on the rim), but no problems. A great deal. They are also a bit wider than advertised if I remember correctly, at 17.5 inches across and almost 22 inches tall, but I managed to stuff them into my alotted space.
