I purchased this hamper a year ago and it was broken after 6 months. The strap didn't break on mine, but the whole hamper started leaning to one side, to a point that if it's more than halfway full, it would not say up and fall down. Bad quality on this one, I'd stay away.

Taking the laundry to the laundry room has never been made easier than with the WHITNEY DESIGN(#2030) Rolling Pop-up Hamper. Made from heavy duty nylon with a strong "spring loaded" wire frame, this hamper opens to a size 18" in diameter and 29" high. Attached to the bottom, there are 5 easy glide casters to make transporting heavy loads easy. The lid is made from a strong mesh material that "breathes" and has a draw cord with lock for closing. For those who want to carry the hamper over their shoulder, there is a heavy duty shoulder strap. Available in either red or blue color, this rolling pop-up hamper can be collapsed for easy storage. In addition to being a hamper, it can also be used as a tote for many other things.This pop-up laundry hamper makes an ideal--some might say, necessary--gift for any young person heading off to college. While the rigid bottom and five easy-glide wheels make the hamper a bit heavier than just a cloth bag, it will certainly stand up to the rigors of dorm use. Made of strong polyester with an internal steel frame, the hamper stays flat for storage or shipping when the two toggle buttons are employed, then springs upright when the buttons are released.
Measuring 18 by 29 inches, the hamper holds a heaping pile of dirty sheets, towels, and jeans. The full bag can either be wheeled down the hall or carried by means of the 45-inch shoulder strap.
