I am unable to give you a review as the clothes line is sitting in its box until spring. I ordered it too late for this season. Living in Vermont gives those of us who live here a very,very short drying season. It will be put up in the spring,probably May when the snow is all gone. We bought this clothes dryer in December of 2008. My husband did a "soft" install because we weren't sure where it would work best. He dug a hole with a pike about 10-12" deep, stuck the pole in, and tamped the dirt around it. I used it like that for about a month. During that month, the dryer was stable enough for me to hang two loads of heavy towels at a time.
When the right location revealed itself, my husband installed it per the enclosed instructions with cement. The installation took about 15 minutes with my help. The instructions were clear and no special skills are required other than the ability to mix a bit of cement and pour it in a hole.
I have been using it in its permanent position for about four months. We're in South Florida and we have a pool. Half a dozen towels are used every day, plus our regular laundry. The dryer is completely stable. I can hang my heavy mattress cover on one side and it does not tip. When I hang a very heavy item, I drape it over 10 or 12 lines to spread it out. This aids in faster drying.
Four months into this, none of the components appear worn or discolored. It swivels smoothly and allows me to stand in one place with my clothes basket and hang things up quickly.
I didn't originally buy a hanging clothespin bag. Eventually I realized that turning around and walking two steps to reach for my basket of clothespins adds up to a lot of lost time. I expect almost anything that keeps your bags on the line will work. If you're clever, you can probably make one out of a plastic grocery bag.
I have cut an average of $70 each month since I started drying outside. The clothes smell good. The towels can be a little crunchy. At the beginning, I started adding Downy liquid softener to the rinse cycle. Eventually it became apparent that nobody actually minded crunchy towels, so I cut that out. Sheets are not crunchy. They're crisp and feel delicious. If your family prefers soft clothes, just add softener to your rinse cycle.
My 10-year-old suddenly likes to do his laundry so he can hang it up. To get to the hanging part, he's required to do the whole job. He now collects his laundry, washes it, hangs it to dry, collects it, folds it and puts it away. I just did away with half of my laundry. For this alone the product deserves five stars.
I have recommended this dryer to family and friends. If I forgot to bring it in for a hurricane, I'd buy another just like it.

I ordered 3..one for myself, one for a neighbor, & one for my sister. Easy to install, holds lots of items, easy to use (love that it spins). Folds down easily, just be cautious to not tangle the lines. All three of us are pleased!
