I loved the idea - however, the product just didn't work. The shelf actually sticks out quite a ways from the way - so to use it, I would have to pull out my washer or dryer several inches into the middle of the laundry room. I did try that, but then I couldn't get the shelf to stay & hold even a few laundry detergent bottles. I returned the item. So sad.Customer Review: Great invention

This is just an awesome product. Adjusts very easy. Holds everything and anything. I have some really heavy things on mine and holds them no problem. Helps with organization of small spaces. Simple to install. The legs are bendable so you can adjust it fit any washer or dryer. I will probably get another one for over my dryer. Love it. These shelves do exactly what they're supposed to. I have an old-style top load washer, and the shelves fit tight over the top. I have the shelf packed with boxes and bottles of detergent, even with an off-balanced load thumping around, nothing falls. I bought a second for the dryer for extra storage. This shelf is wonderful! It allows one to store all the things one would usually use most frequently close at hand! Personally, mine contains the medium size bottle of liquid Tide, the large bottle of Downy (fabric softener), a large bottle of Clorox, the extra large box of Bounce, a Bleach Pen, another smaller bottle of Clorox and a lingere bag. It definantly holds up to the challege of storing heavy items!!
In my opinion, it's right up there with sliced bread!

Just what I was looking for. This works great and was worth the money. Couldn't find anything like this in a store. Love Amazon for always having everything I need. The typical metal/white shelf but sturdy. It doesn't fit perfect over the dryer or washer but it is stable even with large bottles of detergent on it.
