Customer Review: It'll Rust, But It's Not Terrible

I bought this a couple of years ago, figuring that all of the complaints about rusting would have been addressed. I don't want to say that buying it was a mistake, but the complaints proved to be largely accurate. This has become progressively more rusty in the intervening couple of years, but it's rusting only on the bolts. The bars on which clothes are hung are intact, so it's not like any rust is getting on my clothes. Its utility hasn't been affected, but I have to assume that eventually it will be. Right now, though, it's still working. I wouldn't buy it again, given the chance, but it's not like I'm unhappy to own it.
My next drying rack will be wooden, I think. They seem to be expensive (i.e. Drying Rack - Wooden - 28 Ft (White Pine) (41"h x 30"w)), but with less to rust, it seems to be a sensible choice.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this! i have been searching for a drying rack that had enough bars as most of them are cheap and only a few hanging bars. This is solid, easy to open and close as you just slide it open yet very sturdy and easy to fold to put away.. I highly recommend this drying rack. would absolutely buy it again if need be.Customer Review: Kinda flimsy.

I bought two of these for my boyfriend to use after he melted several of his fleece sweatshirts in the dryer at the laundromat. I dry a lot of my clothes on a rack because they seem to stay in better condition than when I use a dryer. I have had a sturdy metal drying rack for several years and I use it all the time. I bought these because they seemed similar and had good reviews. These racks are not sturdy at all. I'm only going to dry my delicates and light clothing on them because i don't think they can handle heavier shirts and jeans.
They are compact and I prefer metal because the wooden ones splinter, but I'm definitely going to have to handle these with care. These racks probably can't handle much more than their wooden counterparts.
**UPDATE**
One of the racks broke already and it didn't have much on it. I would never order these again.
