I needed this laundry basket to double as furniture because my bathroom is too small to house it. It sits on my landing and looks beautiful. It is very funtional, and once you train the family to sort the colors when they throw it in, it makes laundry so much easier. It's not quite as sturdy as it looks, but thats because it's made of sea grass.Customer Review: Just as it should be

I ordered this hamper and just received it in the mail today. The aesthetic of it is certainly better than what I was previously using, but I'm having some issues with it already.
1) I am already having an allergic reaction to the hamper. This does not usually happen for me with seagrass products.
2) The smell is overtaking my apartment. Other reviews have mentioned a slight smell from this -- it is much more than slight. I now feel like I live in the hayloft of a barn.
3) Straight out of the box, there was damage on the exterior. Seagrass was already coming untucked/unraveled.
4) The cotton bags are very stringy. There are spare threads hanging out all over the place.
5) The velcro that holds the bags into the hamper is far too strong. The bags are technically removeable, but it's not at all practical to do so.
I give this product two stars because the aesthetic is nice, but if I've already found those issues, it makes me wonder what else there is going to be that I discover later.

This item was exactly what we were looking for, a place to hide and sort our laundry. It was easy to put together and we didn't notice a smell. We are not using the costers and it seems sturdy enough. I am happy with this item.
