I have tried several different brands from the drugstore because I sleep with earplugs in due to my husband's snoring. I only found one brand that was decent and didn't cause a lot of pain (Pretty in Pink). As a woman with small ear canals, this was a big problem, and even the "good" ones still caused pain by morning on several occasions. They also didn't last long and lost their elasticity quickly.
Then, I got a pair of these Max Lite plugs with an eye mask I purchased. I tried them and liked them so much that I dug the little plastic bag they came in out of the garbage so that I could find the brand name and order more.
I've been using these for several weeks now and have had no pain due to the "low pressure" foam. They do a great job at sealing out noise - better than any of the previous brands I've used. They also retain their elasticity well which makes it easy to re-use them without having to open a new package all the time. They roll up tight for easy insertion into small ears night after night.
Although you have to buy a large quantity, I think it is totally worth it. Plug for plug, these are much cheaper than buying them a few pairs at a time from the drugstore. Plus, I like that they are individually packaged by the pair. That makes it easy to throw a handful into a suitcase, keep an extra pair in my purse, etc.
Great product. Can't recommend enough.
