Tools and Hardware Reviews of Howard Leight MAX1 Earplugs Uncorded NRR33 Box/200 Count

Customer Review: Noise, what noise?
Summary: 5 Stars

I work in a very loud environment, I am a mechanic in a shop that does lots of custom fabrication. Grinding, air hammers, impact tools, etc are no match for these ear plugs! I hate wearing big bulky ear protection so these plugs work perfectly. These plugs are very soft and mold easily into your ear canals. Very pleased, all the reviews for these plugs are right on!

Customer Review: Now can sleep with the TV on
Summary: 5 Stars

My other half likes the TV on to sleep by, I on the other hand like peace and quiet, with these handy litte ear plugs now both of us are sleeping well and no more fighting over the TV. Also great price compare to the ones you buy at the drug store, these are just a fraction of what outragious price they want for three pairs. Trust me you will not regret buying these in this quantity, being so cheap you can use and toss no more wondering where you put them, now you can have a nice clean pair every night.

Customer Review: Only Earplugs I'll Use!
Summary: 5 Stars

These are the best earplugs! I use these when I sleep and anytime I'm around noise like motorcycles, airplanes, jets. Not only are they comfortable but they block out more noise then any other earplug I've used.

Customer Review: Poor Performance
Summary: 2 Stars

These do not seal well (at least in my ears) and thus their noise reducing performance is very poor. They do a great job if you stick a finger in your ear to hold them in tightly...but that isn't supposed to be how ear plugs work!

Customer Review: Practical earplugs
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used this type of earplug for several years for industrial safety and for quiet sleep at night. I have tried every type of earplug available and settled on this type as the best.
Most of the high attentuation ear plugs on the market are made of wax or a material something like memory foam. The cells of the foam plugs are impregnated with a material that enables the foam to expand slowly after compression. You compress the ear plugs and they hold the compressed shape long enough to insert them in your ears - then they expand to fill your ear canal, blocking off paths into your ear from the outside world. Without the slow decompression feature, it's nearly impossible to insert foam into your ears. The higher density of the plug material also improves the foam's attenuation.
If you use ear plugs all the time, as I do, you learn there are ways to reuse them - making them more economical. These ear plugs can be reused more ofter than most because they have a thin skin on their surface that slows the loss of the compressive memory of the ear plug foam. The skin also also makes it easier to clean these ear plugs. In summary; they last longer and attentuate sound as well as any other ear plugs I have found.
