I bought this unit to replace an old Hunter model that was more than ten years old. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of useful features and improvements over the earlier model. It was easy to install and program. The backlight feature is especially nice when I want to make an adjustment late at night without waking others.Customer Review: Excellent device

My old thermostat didn't register the temperature properly anymore so it was time for a replacement. Did lots of looking around and this one had great reviews. I have to agree with them.
The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I figured it would have taken me 5 hours of hassle and I'd eventually have to call a pro to come install it for me. I had it installed and working within an hour. It worked perfectly on the first try.
Programming it was very simple and it is easy to override the programmed temperature if I want it warmer or cooler. I'd definitely recommend this unit, especially since it is a fairly low price. Not sure why you'd want to spend more on a different model.

This is not a particularly expensive thermostat, but it might as well be because you get a lot more than you pay for. It was so easy to install that my not-particularly-handy husband was able to do it (he DID have to read the directions, but he did NOT have to ask for help). It works really well, we love the indigo glow, and the program is really easy to use and really convenient for people who don't work the standard 9-5 M-F that some thermostats limit their programs to. The energy-saver programs are also really nice. All in all, I think this was a great buy.
