I bought this fan in the hopes of finding a good quality fan that would last longer than one season. The fan itself is built heavily of quality materials. My problem is that after just one season, the oscillation feature is now trying to stall. I thought that by paying a little extra, I could have a fan that would last many years without problems. I like having a fan on when I sleep at night and after having 2 cheap plastic table fans break in the past year, it was time to get a quality one. This one fits the bill. It is absolutely rock solid, super sturdy and heavy. No assembly whatsoever, I imagine this is how they use to build fans in the 30's and 40's. A beautiful piece of art, wisper quiet and no clicking when it rotates. I know it will last a long time based on how tough it's built. 3 speed settings and all are strong. Would HIGHLY recommend this fan! It's definietly a quality piece made by a great manufacturer that knows how to build fans, worth the extra money!!Customer Review: Attractive and Sturdy

You can buy several plastic fans for the price of this one. However, this is the fan to buy if you want an attractive and functional fan that compliments your decor. It is quite heavy because of the all-metal construction. It is not exactly silent at low speed, but we use it to circulate air in our bedroom all night long with no problems. Some people prefer a little "white noise" to drown out other sounds, and I believe this fan's sound falls into that category. We own two -- this black one and the oil rubbed bronze one. This is a fan that adds charm and beauty. No need to hide it away. It's quite heavy. Very substantial. Easy to change the position of the air flow. Great price. Highly recommend.
