The medium bag could not be sealed properly and I had to keep using the vacuum everyday 'cause the air was getting in. I was not pleased with this at all. Also, the zipper seals keep coming off but I managed to re-insert them. The extra large and large bags were OK.Customer Review: Space bags: great concept, terrible quality

I spent a lot of money on Space Bags and have had mixed (mostly poor) result. The over all concept of the product is EXCELLENT, however the company has chosen to make them from inferior materials, so they are next to useless.
The vacuum valve generally works very well, and you can compress an amazing amount of stuff in a bag, that is about all that is good about these.
They are very hard to seal properly, which means they re-inflate often and the zip slider doesn't help seal it...the zip slider often rips little holes along the zip lock rendering the bag useless. I have managed to patch some with tape, but you have to seal every little hole inside and out or it won't hold.
The plastic is also super thin and seemingly brittle (the average freezer bag is much thicker and more durable)...they tear at the drop of a hat! Once they are full, they are even easier to tear because the items inside are ridged when compressed.
Often times, if you fill the bag, it will tear under its own weight when you move it.
If space bags where made from a thick, quality plastic, they would be awesome, but right now they are simply a frustrating waste of money. Right now, I use contractor trash bags for the same purpose...they are thicker and cheaper! I just hold the top around the vacuum nozzle and then tape it closed, voila!
In short, Space Bags are not worth the money, they are too cheaply made to work properly. Hopefully they will fix the product in the future!

I watched the infomercials and decided to give them a try; I needed to store several comforters and some old uniforms. Upon opening the shipping container I noticed that one of the bags came with a rip in it. I loaded up all of the other bags with the aforementioned items and less than two weeks later the bags are nearly the size of the original items. In short, the bags leak air slowly and are only good for keeping dust off your items. Don't purchase these bags if you want the items to truly compress.Customer Review: Terrible product, terrible service

The first time I went to use an extra large bag the rubber seal could not
be inserted, so it couldnt be used. On top of the bag not working the bags seem cheap and flimsy so I called to return them and the CS rep from another country was very rude. Product and customer service is bad. I wish I had steered clear.

These bags work well. At first I was rather dissapointed due to severe air leaks that i just couldn't seem to stop. But the bags zipper opening comes with a little puller thing (like a ziplock bag). Take this zipper pull off and seal it with your fingers. This is the only way you can be sure that the zipper tracks are lined up right and to get a tight seal you have to be able to feel it seal. Once i did this they worked fine.
Also the quality of your vaccume will determin how compact they will become. I reccomend using something like a shop vac for the best results.
