I love this tool. It will save you a lot of time and hassle when compared to marking with the standard square or tape measure. With the standard way you have to make sure that your eyes are right over the mark to ensure accurate cuts but this tool takes that variable out of the equation. I will definately buy the 18" set next and I hope to see a long 48" version or if possible a tape measure with the same hole type marking. Hey I can dream can't I.

Cover any precision marking application with these three-piece marking rule sets. Each set includes one Marking Rule, one T-Rule and one Bend Rule in your choice of 6", 12" and 18" lengths. Each set includes a .5mm mechanical pencilInstead of squinting at that blur of lines along the edge of your old steel rule, the Incra 12-Inch Marking Rule Set, lets you mark precisely where you want with zero uncertainty and no eye strain. Incra has re-invented the steel rule by putting micro-fine holes at every scale position (every 1/16-inch and 1/32-inch) to instantly locate a sharp pencil or scribe exactly on target. Using a T-square this guide draws perfectly placed horizontal lines with dead-on accuracy, with guide slots that wrap around any edges.
