Customer Review: A Towel Works Wonders With This Toasty Footrest

This footrest is fine for the price. I don't like to wear my shoes at my desk, but the footrest is too warm for bare, stockinged or socked feet. So I put a lightweight towel over it, doesn't get that hot, but I still don't leave it on when I head for bed. My cat absolutely adores this thing, he wouldn't lay on it without the towel (of course, he's a hairless sphynx, but even my extra fluffy russian siberian couldn't take this thing on sans towel)... well, now he is curled up between my feet on top of the towel all the time, so I got two foot heaters for the price of one. The towel also adds a level of comfort that is completely missing otherwise, this is a hard plastic platform without it. I know they now offer a hi/low switch, but I'll skip it since the towel is perfect and makes it more cushy and my cat loves it. Overall, a fairly good value, I'd buy it again, I'd recommend it to a friend looking in the same price range, it's definitely toasty up to the ankles with the towel, excluding the cat!
