Tools and Hardware Reviews of Indus-Tool TT Toasty Toes Ergonomic Heated FootrestCustomer Review: F*ck you winter Summary: 5 Stars
I should have bought one of these 4 years ago. I tend to spend much of my free time at my computer(especially in the winter). I used to wrap my feet in blankets, although that is more energy efficient than this it would take so long for them to warm up. With Toasty Toes I turned it on and within a few minuets I have warm feet, and about 15 mins later they are really warm. I wear a size 11.5US shoe(mens) and my feet this with about 1 inch to spare. If your feet are bigger than mine there is plenty of room on the sides to angle your feet so they do fit; heck right now I'm warming my feet and drying off my shoes that got wet in the rain today. If you are really cheap you could turn your heat way down and sit across from your roommate and both of you could share one of these.
The only con. The plastic doesn't feel super thick so I'm going to return the hammer I bought for putting this through a durability test.
Buy it.
Customer Review: FINALLY... my feet are WARM!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Five stars is not enough for this product. If you suffer with cold feet, chances are your feet feel half frozen right now, because you are looking for a foot-warmer to buy. Right? Well, look no further. Please don't be put off by the price. Yes, it is high. But your feet are freezing now (aren't they?), and will be until you purchase this product. It is a perfect width, especially for a person who is a little bigger than most. The unit has a hinge under it so you can rock it forward or back, so you can really sit comfortably with it for hours. I wear down slippers and use the low setting. However, if you wear shoes, the high setting will go right through the soles of your shoes and STILL keep you toasty.
Another remarkable benefit of this product is the help with my knees. Because my feet and legs are warm all the time while sitting, I can stand up so much easier, and my knees (that need to be replaced yesterday) feel so much looser. I have easy access to the unit under the desk, so I don't need the optional high/low switch. It's right at my feet, so I just bend over.
This is WELL worth the price. Suffer no more.
Customer Review: Feel the Heat! Summary: 4 Stars
Took it out of the box, plugged it in and instant heat - I'm a diabetic and my feet are always cold -
I converted my garage into a home office - this has a permanent home under my desk - Although very light and can be placed anywhere quickly... 4 stars because the construction isn't the best (plastic) but it does the job!
Customer Review: Feet are warm now Summary: 5 Stars
I recieved the product today and my feet have been on it for about two hours. From what I have experienced so far, this heater does exactly what I had hoped for. It is made of hard plastic so there is no odor. The swivel base is a simple but great feature that makes it comfortable right out of the box. If it didn't have the swivel base I'm sure I would have been messing around trying to figure out what to put under it to do the same thing. The low setting seems to give off a good degree of heat that seems about right for warming feet. I don't know how long the unit will last, but if you experience cold feet in the winter this is a good investment. For cold feet it is much better than a space heater and more energy efficient too.
Customer Review: Five weeks in use. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought two of these, one for my wife, one for me. My wife uses hers mostly for the stand-up heater. I read all the reviews before I bought. The assembly of the two legs was easy and the directions very clear. I read the reviews about it being "cheap plastic". I don't know how "cheap" it is, but yes it is plastic. We don't jump on them or abuse them...so far, no problems. What might be construed as a problem is the amount of heat it puts out. Well duh, you bought a heater!
After a while, it does get too hot for my bare feet, so I put a towel on it. If it is still too warm, I turn it off for a while. Am I getting too logical? Doesn't have a thermostat or remote control...it's a heater, not a computer. Would the extras be nice, sure, but then the price would have to go up. Would I recommend this, definitely.
