Tools and Hardware Reviews of Indus-Tool TT Toasty Toes Ergonomic Heated FootrestCustomer Review: If You Have Cold Feet About This Product, Trust Them Summary: 1 Stars
I have long been searching for a product that would keep my feet, ankles and legs warm at work. There is always a frosty draft blowing along the floor of my office and I am uncomfortable all day. Space heaters and fans always blow upward, leaving my feet and ankles in the cold. I was skeptical about this particular product but really wanted to believe all the positive reviews. I'm sorry I did. The panel barely warms up. If you're not making direct contact with it, it's almost worthless. I wanted to use mine as a vertical heat panel, which is a documented option. Keep in mind that this thing supposedly "radiates" - there is no fan. Well, a 150W radiation panel (which is the maximum setting by the way) is barely more than a light bulb. Unfortunately, this product doesn't perform as described and is way overpriced. If you are the least bit apprehensive about buying this product, you should be. Don't waste your money.
Customer Review: It does the job Summary: 4 Stars
Easy to set up & use, and it keeps feet nice & warm. I give it 4 instead of 5 stars because (a) it's made of hard plastic that's a bit uncomfortable after a while on bare or stocking feet, and (b) it's a bit overpriced. It's just a piece of injection-molded plastic with a small heating element... should be more like $40. It has 3 heat settings: off, foot-warmer, and radiant-panel. Haven't tried the panel setting, but the foot-warmer setting is nice. Would be better if there were more of a range of settings (foot-warm-low, foot-warm-high), and for the price I'd kinda expect this. A good feature is the angled base: when sitting in a chair and stretching your feet out to it, the angle is comfortable on the ankles. I put mine on a plug-in timer: no need to consume 90 watts 24/7, I only run it from 2PM to midnight. In summary, despite the omission of a few minor features and being slightly pricey, I'm glad I got it and I would recommend it to anyone looking to end cold feet under their desk.
Customer Review: It really makes for toasty toes Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for under my computer desk. It works great, but sometimes it gets a little too warm so I have to move my feet off it. The only other very minor problem is that the plastic feet tend to slide on my anti static mat. The heating surface is solid & feels nice on the feet. Guess I'll find out about the durability over the next few years. The end result is that I have warm feet while I'm on my computer. I'm glad I bought this model.
Customer Review: Just the right product for cold days Summary: 5 Stars
Perfect for a cold day working at the desk or watching TV. The plastic is solid. There's no plastic or stinky off-gasing when heated. Love it.
Customer Review: Keeps feet warm Summary: 4 Stars
I work out of my house downstairs. My floor is a concrete slab with a Pergo type of laminate floor. This floor is very cold and so I decided to purchase the foot warmer.
It works as advertised and if anything is a little too warm. It makes work much more enjoyable now that I have this installed!
The only caveat is I wish it had a built in timer. There have been times I have forgotten to turn it off and ran it a day or so during the weekend.
